  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the brown sugar and butter until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
  7. Place a teaspoon of strawberry jam on half of the rectangles, then top with the other half.
  8. Seal the edges with a fork.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
  10. Let cool and drizzle with powdered sugar icing.
