  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas thoroughly.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and softened butter.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Combine the wet ingredients with the mashed bananas.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  7. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
  8. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle with brown sugar.
  9. Add the remaining batter and top with more brown sugar if desired.
  10. Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
